Printable Sudoku

Print a Sudoku sheet, or save it as a PDF, without leaving the puzzles that Sudoku Unlimited already generates for online play. Each difficulty page builds four grids and a matching solution page.

The rules do not change on paper. Every row, every column, and every 3×3 box still contains the digits 1–9 once. Givens are printed. Empty cells are blank so you can write the rest. For a smaller grid, see Kids Sudoku.

Choose a difficulty

  • Printable Easy Sudoku — These easy sheets use the same puzzle generator as Easy mode on Sudoku Unlimited. Each grid is a standard 9×9 Sudoku: digits 1–9 once in every row, column, and 3×3 box.
  • Printable Medium Sudoku — Medium printable puzzles come from the same generator as Medium mode online. Fewer givens than Easy, still one solution, and the same row, column, and box rules.
  • Printable Hard Sudoku — Hard sheets leave fewer givens than Medium. They are built by the site’s Hard generator and still have a single solution.
  • Printable Expert Sudoku — Expert printouts are the sparsest sheets on this page. They use the Expert generator: the same removal target and unique-solution check as Expert play online.

How to print

  1. Open a difficulty page and look over the four puzzles.
  2. Use Print or save as PDF for the browser dialog, or Download PDF for a file.
  3. Solutions print on the next page. Choose a page range if you want puzzles only.
  4. Use New puzzles when you want another sheet at the same difficulty.

Frequently asked questions

Are these printable Sudoku puzzles free?
Yes. Every printable sheet on Sudoku Unlimited is free. You can print it or save it as a PDF from the browser. No account is required.
Where do the puzzles come from?
Each sheet is created with the same generator used for online play at that difficulty. The generator fills a valid grid, then removes givens while keeping a single solution.
Do the sheets include answers?
Yes. Solutions are on the page under the puzzles and print on their own page after the puzzles. You can also download a PDF that contains both.
Can I get a new set of puzzles?
Use New puzzles on a difficulty page to build another sheet at that level. Printing or downloading uses the puzzles currently on the page.
Can I play the same levels online?
Yes. Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert each have an online game. The printable pages link to those games.
